Correct. WiFi sync relies on Palm OS's old network/modem hotsync, which 
appears entirely unencrypted. The WiFi network's WEP or WPA will stop some 
random getting on the WiFi network and sniffing the connection, but it 
won't stop someone already on the WiFi network or somewhere else between 
your Palm and your PC from sniffing the connection.

See my previous post about bringing a VPN connection up so that the 
HotSync does get encrypted over the network.
