I think it would a "bad thing" if Missing Sync re-wrote events.  
Remember, M/S doesn't deal with iCal directly, it deals with Sync  
Services. In theory there can be any number of applications that sync  
with data from Sync Services, and if they all rewrote the data as  
they saw fit, we'd have a real mess. :-/
