Yup, I did a desktop overwrites handheld (a rigamarole I'm getting
quite tired of with each new version - it's why I haven't bothered
with 5.0.3 betas yet). It's probably been messed up all along, but I
didn't look as far ahead as April until the other day. Something here
is simply wrong. But hey, the MS guys have a good three months to
track it down. ;-)

I don't suppose this is something that could be "faked" in some way,
is it? Being completely ignorant here, why can't Missing Sync create
a repeating all-day event when it sees one of these "from date x to
date y" events in iCal, and vice versa?
