I know that, but I e. g. use a macnews.de - account, which offers an
own software which synchronizes the address book with the macnews.de
address book. Here I can also choose address book overwrites macnews.de
address book. For my mobile phone (Nokia 6600) I use a software
SmartVCards (6 $) instead of iSync. SmartVCards reads the .vcf-file I
generate from the mac address book and imports the addresses perfectly
including all fields (iSync doesn't in connection with my Nokia 6600)
into the mobile phones address book. To keep this up to date, I only
have to spend around five minutes and I have my achieved my 100 %
reliable contact synchronization, including. macnews.de - account (one
of the best services I know, you should have a look on this!) instead
of .mac, my palm (at the moment in connection with the choice of
resetting the address book) and my mobile phone.
You see, it is possible! The only weak part in my construction is the
sync between my Palm and iSync which doesn't garantuee conflict free
synchronization. The rest works fine.
I'd be very pleased to hear your opinion on this regarding my remarks!
Best regards
Helge
