[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Anything using SyncServices takes a long time to sync - why?

This is more "I'm curious about how it works" than a complaint. I've  
noticed that the three conduits that hit SyncServices (Events, Tasks,  
and Contacts) are all at least an order of magnitude slower than  
either Palm Desktop or other conduits (Memos, Quicken, etc). Is there  
something about SyncServices that causes finding and syncing changes  
to take so long, and is it something Apple or Mark/Space is working  
on? Would a more powerful computer help at all (I'm on an 800Mhz G3)?

Overall, I'm fine with things as they are - I have everything syncing  
properly to the Apple-provided applications now, and I can easily  
sync via Bluetooth (something that never worked reliably on Palm  
Desktop for me).
