I can confirm that doesn't work. A reboot or the method above is  
required. It seems to me M/S is very juvenile in it's handling of  
broken communications. I had to cancel a sync when something came up  
and I had run out. (Syncing with M/S is never a quick process.) I  
canceled the process on the handheld and left. When I returned  1  
1/12 hours later, M/S was still in the process of syncing. The  
progress bars were still spinning despite the fact that nothing was  
transferring in the past 1 1/2 hours. What happened to monitoring the  
process and timing out cleanly?
