Unfortunately this has been my experience too. Recently upgraded
from an old Vx using the Palm HotSync and Panther and Palm Desktop to
a new Tungsten E2 and Tiger and iCal and Address Book. I purchased
Missing Sync without ever even trying iSync because of a number of
reviews which said iSync was abominable and if you could afford M/S
then to get it. Well, I got it, and I seem to be running into one
sync issue after another. For 4 years I had almost perfect
effortless syncs under OS 9, 10.2, and 10.3 with HotSync Manager.
How is it that this technology which seems to have been figured out
long ago has gotten so problematic?

What I am looking at now is migrating backwards if possible, as I am
wasting huge amounts of time troubleshooting in the current
configuration. Are there any users out there still using Palm
Desktop with Tiger, with or without Missing Sync? Going back to
Panther is probably not an option for me now, but if I have to go
back to Palm Desktop so I can have a reliable calender then I will.
I'd really rather not go back to Palm Desktop's contacts, but then
again, if I can't determine a reliable way to use AB with my Palm
then I may be forced to. Is anyone still using M/S 4 with better
success? As it seems much of the problems are related to the new M/S
conduits and Tiger Sync Services. My gut tells me that Sync Services
has bugs in it, but since M/S has made themselves dependent on it, in
a way they are forced to support it.

Basically, I don't care what I use, as long as I can have reliable
syncs of my data. I don't need anything fancy. Any users out there
who have reliable set-ups on Tiger I would like to hear from.

Thank you.
