[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Re: Evite, iCal, MS and time zones

This appears to be a problem MS has with Palm devices that don't
support time zones -- my Tungsten T3 being another example. The fact
that I often want to schedule things in other time zones (e.g., for
teleconferences), is one of the reasons I stopped using Missing
Sync. iSync with its Palm conduits have no problems handling the
time zones correctly, even though the T3 doesn't know about time
zones itself. Something scheduled in iCal in any time zone will
always be put in the right time on the Palm.

(For example, once I've set the Mac iSync preference for my Palm
saying it's set for Pacific Time, if I enter an appointment in iCal
for 3pm Eastern Time, then after syncing the appointment shows up at
12noon Pacific, exactly like it should.)

I understand that the Tungsten T5 supports time zones, and the
Missing Sync people say it does not have the problem you describe
with iCal events set in different time zones.
