[missing-sync-palmos-talk] New events in Treo 650 won't sync

Following up from a previous question:
I have MS set up so that the only active conduits are M/S Contacts  
and M/S events.
When I add an event to either the Treo or iCal it will not sync in  
either direction.
I'm feeling really stupid at this point - is there some basic setting  
that I just need to check or uncheck?
