[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Update Content and Sync Error

Hi,
I’m not only new here and to the Missing Sync, but also to my Treo 650. So please don’t 
mind my unfamiliarity to the whole setup and my greenhorn type inquiries. 

I began setting up my Treo two nights ago, prior to setting it up I purchased the Missing Sync 
after hearing much praise during my new cell phone research. I installed the MS and had a 
few syncing glitches, so I uninstalled and installed Palm Desktop that I had a Verizon tech 
help me out with. We got it up and syncing then I reinstalled MS.

I then wanted to install AvantGo, since it was free. I signed up and then downloaded what 
was needed. In MS under Conduits in Next Sync Action for AvantGo I saw “Update content”. I 
clicked the Install tab and saw the three files “avantgo.prc”, “libsmal.prc”, and 
“MobileLink.prc” in “Files to install in internal memory”. I then sync’d  and those files 
disappeared from the “Install window. 

Two things that are odd, the first is that in the Conduits window next to AvantGo it still reads 
“Update Content” and second, after I did this sync I got the following message: 

“Sync Error

An Error occurred during sync. Check the sync history for details.”

I did so and saw that it contained no errors and ended with the statement:

“Sync completed successfully at 4/12/06 7:35 AM 
”


Since “AvantGo” is working and working great btw, why the oddities with MS?
