Hi Daniel,
Did you use iTunes' "convert selection to mp3" option? If so, I
suspect that when you converted the songs you ended up with two
copies of each song, one in AAC and one in mp3. Then, in your
playlist you probably have a few AAC songs and a few mp3.
If you right-click (ctrl+click) the song in iTunes, you can choose
Show song file. This way you can verify the actual files that the
playlist is linking to.
