[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Photos Conduit Stopped Working

I am using Missing Sync 5.1 on my Mac Mini running OS 10.4.4. I had been using the Mark/Space Photos conduit to sync about 300 photos to my Palm Lifedrive, also running the latest OS available. I was syncing from an iPhoto album to which I would add photos periodically.
Everything worked great for months, until about 2 or 3 weeks ago, I noticed that my newest photos weren't syncing. I have tried removing all photos from the device and from the iPhoto album, then rebuilding the album and syncing again. I've tried turning various settings in the conduit off and on. I repaired permissions on the Mac, I did at least three soft resets on the handheld. I even tried the "send Photos to Palm" function in iPhoto. They synced via "Install", but not all of them. Again, some of the pictures including the newest ones didn't sync.
I have between 1GB and 500MB on the Lifedrive, depending on other content, so there's plenty of room for the photos.
Now, strangely, when I mount the Lifedrive via Drive Mode, I can't even drag photos from iPhoto into the DCIM/MarkSpace directory when before i started tweaking and troubleshooting, I could. When I try to drag them, the cursor turns to a circle with a slash through the middle indicating that operation is prohibited. Moving other files in the Finder to the Lifedrive works fine via Drive Mode, but that's very impractical due to the way iPhoto organizes pictures. I just want it to work again!
I'm mostly baffled because it worked great for many months, then just stopped working. I did recently upgrade to iPhoto 6, but that was last week and the problem existed in iPhoto 5. In fact, I was hoping that the upgrade would fix it. It didn't. I have also upgraded to each of the various beta versions of Missing Sync, then the recent release of 5.1.
Anyone else had a similar problem?
Thanks,
Brennan
