[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Missing Sync 5.1 first install and run... Huge log file

Installed Missing Sync 5.1 today on 10.4.6 (12" Powerbook) after getting
confirmation from Palm Encoding Setup's author that it is compatible with
it. Installation and the first two syncs went fine. Then when I tried to
open Missing Sync application, the app got stuck in a loop and would not
come up properly. At the same time, the hard drive had continuous read/write
activities. I left it running for three hours just to see what would happen,
by the time I got back, it has chewed up 9G of my HD space. Doing a search
located a 9G /private/var/windowserver_last.log file.

I've since deleted that log file, rebooted, and this time round, Missing
Sync started fine.

Anyone seen similar?
