[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Detached events not syncing

I'm curious about the significance of detached events. Would it not  
make sense for iCal to create the event as a single occurrence  
event ... or is necessary to tell the PDA that that occurrence has  
been changed without changing the remaining events?
