I don't know why they have been deleted but I guess that the reason why they
are not synced back is because the "dirty" bit for the records hasn't been
set (indicating that the record has been changed and needs to be synced). If
this is the case you only need to update the records on your Treo and they
will sync to your desktop.
One way of doing this is to change the category of a contact to unfiled and
then back again. I've used MassTransit to do this for all contacts in one
category at the same time.
Took me about 1 minute to get my contacts to sync again when this happened to
me (but I was using Nows conduit and Now Contact, but the chance is that the
solution is the same).
