[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Can't install Missing Sync 5.01 or 5.02b1

I ran the /usr/bin/defaults write com.markspace.missingsync.palmos  
"Continue Install" -int 1 as instructed and the installer runs

After the install the application doesn't run neither do the  
registration application. I tried with both the 5.01 and the 5.02b1  
and got the same result.

Please advice.
