Matthew, I'll try to hit some of the things you ask about below:

Seems like a bug. When you say that they showed up in different
calendars, were they in neither the original calendar nor the new one?

I haven't been able to reproduce this.

Yes, we would like to see that. As Scott Gruby wrote in response to
another email, at the time the conduit was written Apple's
documentation said that 3rd parties should not create calendars -
that it was reserved for iCal. We're revisiting the issue, as that
information may be incorrect.

No - only for categories that contain records being synchronized.

Yes.

If there is a non-used category on the Palm it will be deleted after
synchronization. The list of categories on the Palm is equal to the
list of calendars that have records being synchronized, plus Unfiled.
We neither create nor delete iCal calendars.

Items for calendar 16-> get assigned to Unfiled.

If that is happening, that is a bug. Make sure that the calendar is
being synchronized AND that the date range setting includes that item.

Same as above.

You're filtering by calendar/date range.

Haven't seen any.

iCal does not support repeating todos, although the underlying sync
engine does. The Palm can generate a repeating todo, and we push that
information into the sync engine, as another PIM may want to use it.
