[missing-sync-palmos-talk] MemoPad consumes 100% of CPU just for (slow) typing?!

Try the following:

1. Open Activity Viewer
2. Open the new MemoPad application (comes with MS5)
3. Open a new memo
4. Start typing - just type garbage and type quickly
5. Watch the CPU usage in Activity Viewer - on my system (1.5ghz G4  
PowerBook, 1gig ram, OSX 10.4.2) it spikes up to 100%!

Typing in MemoPad is so slow as to be unusable. Anyone else  
experiencing this? Any idea when or how to fix this?
