[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Treo 650, Palm Desktop and MS5 problems

Every attempt to sync the memos on my Treo 650 with the latest
version of Palm Desktop using MS5 has caused my Treo 650 to
spontaneously reboot. I get the following in a dialogue box:

An error occurred during sync. Check the sync history for details.

The Sync Log reports:

Failed Memos (0x4015)
Sync completed successfully at 11/3/05 8:24 PM (20:24:20)

Yet the Memos seem to have synced.

Every attempt to sync the Contacts on the 650 with PD, using MS5
crashing MS5 with The MS Crash Reporter saying "A component of
Missing Sync for Palm OS has unexpectedly quit." The Sync Log shows only

------------------------------------------------------------------
Sync starting at 11/3/05 8:54 PM (20:54:54) on USB (5.0.1)

Since there is no option to have the handheld overwrite the Mac using
iCal and Address Book, I would prefer to keep using Palm Desktop.

These problems occur reliably on both my laptop and my desktop
whether the single conduit is enable or several conduits. I have
tried moving all conduits except the one I"m using to the Disabled
Conduits folder and I have tried clean reinstalls of both MS5 and PD.

I submitted a trouble ticket to Mark/Space, but am interested in
seeing if others have experienced the same problems - and maybe have
suggestions to help.

Thanks,

Terry Monnett
