I don't know about contacts, but I remember having lots of problems  
with duplicate calendar events with the Palm Desktop (before  
switching to the Missing Sync). Could you put the Missing Sync on  
both computers, keeping the Palm Desktop out of the loop? I'm  
guessing that would solve the problem.
