I see similar problems with DTG 6.008 + Tiger + MS 4.0.5 b1.

If the DTG conduit doesn't have to do anything, the sync seems to work. If
it does, then the Missing Sync app goes away when it is the DTG conduit's
turn.

This worked with DTG 6.008 + Panther + MS 4.0.4...
