I appreciate the mention of the problems and assume that it is not
unreasonable to mention another not dissimilar program on this list-
SyncBuddy has just been released for Mac Os X. This allows you to
manually back up and you can back up more than the Hotsync architecture
allows (if I have understood it, and I may not have).
IN fact, what I'd really like is the functionality of both MS and Sync
Buddy...! there is some overlap but it's partial and there's certainly
room for both.
finally another option (the one I use, actually) is to use something
like McFile to back up to a media card (I don't know your model, so
don't know if this is relevant).
