[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Missing Sync working diffrently than Palm Hot Sync, Part II

I have seen this behaviour when using TMS and the standard Palm conduits. (I reported the original problem when I was still using HotSync manager, see the post 'Will Missing Sync fix sync duplication problems?' from 02/06/05).

I had moved from using a Treo 600 with Palm Desktop 4.1 to a Treo 650 with Palm Desktop 4.2.1. Changes that may have fixed the problem:

I managed to fix it eventually. I can't be specific about what fixed it,

-- Fully (manually) de-installing Palm Desktop before re-installing 4.2.1
-- Doing a merge of my old User Data file into a newly created User Data file

I would be happy to give further advice offline.
