That's not Missing Sync doing that. I use Missing Sync with the Entourage
Conduit and nothing like that ever happens - it works as you describe in the
first paragraph. What you're describing sounds rather like iSync at work -
are you using an iSync conduit? But you mention Palm Desktop, not Address
Book or iCal.
