While I don't know exactly if you will have a problem, my guess is  
that version 6 has some of the same problems with version 7 that are  
affecting Tiger users. I suspect that you wouldn't be better off than  
version 7 users, but would be worse off as version 6 came out a long  
time before Tiger and could have other issues (the application could  
have issues, also.).

I can't recall what version of DTG supporting opening native files,  
but users should consider simply putting Word/Excel files on a card  
(using Missing Sync's mounting) and then open those with DTG on the  
handheld (or just drag the files into Missing Sync's Files To Install  
pane; it should recognize that .doc and .xls files are valid file  
types). Certainly not as convenient as a conduit, but it is a  
workable solution. Much of the design of the DTG conduit appears to  
have been in converting documents to the DTG format when DTG couldn't  
handle native documents.
