[missing-sync-palmos-talk] DataViz Patch for Missing Sync and Tiger

DataViz has released a patch for Documents to Go 7.006 that fixes the failed
launch behavior that we were seeing, where The Missing Sync program icon
would bounce once or twice in the Dock and then nothing else would happen.

Question:

Why am I receiving a crash when synchronizing Documents To Go 7.0 and
Missing Sync on OS 10.4?


Answer:

The issue was addressed with a Documents To Go patch. Please follow the
steps below in order to install the patch:

1. Make sure you have the latest version, 7.006, of Documents To Go
installed. If you do not please download and install this version from the
link below:
   Installer Download for Documents To Go 7.006
   <http://www.dataviz.com/downloads/redownloads/index.html>

2. Make sure you have the latest version of Missing Sync (available at
www.markspace.com)

3. Update any anti-virus software installed

4. Update AvantGo, if it is installed

5. Repair disk permissions on the Mac (use the Disk Utility program in Hard
Drive > Applications > Utilities)

6. Download the patch to your Mac. Documents To Go Patch

7. If the files do not automatically decompress, double-click on each one to
unstuff them

8. Copy the Database file to: Hard Drive/Library/Application
Support/DataViz/DocsToGo Modules

9. Click the Replace button to replace the file of the same name

10. Copy the DocsToGoConduit file to: Hard Drive/Library/Application
Support/Palm Hotsync/Conduits

11. Click the Replace button to replace the file of the same name

12. Restart your Mac

The patch is now installed. Please try your synchronization again.
