Done. A few extra steps:

1) Install PD from Treo CD (ignore errors about Transport Monitor not
launching)
2) Reboot as required (ignore errors about Transport Monitor not launching)
3) Remove PD components (just trash the PD folder)
4) System Preferences/Accounts/username/Login Items: remove Palm Desktop
Background and Transport Monitor
5) Install MS 4.0.6 b3
6) Reboot as Required
7) Open Missing Sync for Palm app: check "Media Conduit"
8) Optional: If you use Entourage Conduit, move Address, DateBook, Memos and
ToDo Conduits from /Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync/Conduits/ into
the Disabled Conduits folder there (or reinstall Microsoft Handheld Conduit
Installer)

I synced and the photos came over. Thanks again.
