[missing-sync-palmos-talk] 10.4.2 update breaks sync?

I had that happen a couple of times a while ago, after the OS 10.4.1 upgrade
and made sure the "Enable at log-in at Starting/Sharing login" was checked,
which it was (and always has been). I forgot about the problem after that.
Oh, did the other recommended thing too- soft reset the Clié.

But then, Lo! As if by magic, it has worked fine since and tried a sync
specifically to check it after the last restart (yet another system software
update), without my actually doing anything. Does this make sense?
