[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Sync error with Treo 650/Cingular

You need more free space on the Treo. Delete some files until you have about
880k - 1MB available. This is NOT a limitation or requirement from Missing
Sync, but the HotSync application on the handheld. I'm not sure why it
requires that much space, but it seems to.

As for number 1, I might suggest a soft reset.
