[missing-sync-palmos-talk] New v 4.0.2 user; can't connect

Hi, first time posting to this list,

After buying MS at MacWorld Expo, I was able to install it on my Palm
Tungsten C by HotSyncing and it does show now on the Palm's screen.

The first time I sync'ed I was presented with a slew of "please
choose blah blah between these two conduits" messages. Of course I
didn't have a clue which I should choose, so I chose the one that
contained the word "apple" in each case.

Make sense? Nah, didn't to me either.

Anyway, now every time I press the HotSync button on my Palm, I get
"cannot connect to the computer." And when I run Missing Sync on the
Palm, I see a pretty picture of a Palm on the left. a pretty picture
of a laptop on the right, and what appears to be an empty (and
non-editable) text box between them.

When I press the "Connect" button below, I'm told "Card Error. Please
make sure that a card is inserted and try again."

Sure enough, I don't have a SD card in my Palm. I'm RTFMing but so
far nothing hits me between the eyes as to being helpful.

Thanks for any suggestion as to what stupid thing I did to cause
myself this grief. Please don't say it was "buying Missing Sync".

Mac OS 10.3.7
