[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Reconnecting Palm to iSync

I recently had to reformat my hard disk, and not all plist and prefs
files survived.  iSync lost track of all three of the connected
components (Palm, phone and iPod).  To reconnect the Palm, do I still
have to use HotSync?  Does that mean uninstalling Missing-Sync, and the
going through the whole lame process of Palm Desktop?
