[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Problem evaluating M/S Mail

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place for posting this
message.
I am under a time crunch as I leave for Macworld San Francisco this
weekend and I want to have made a decision about a mail program for my
Treo 600 before I leave as it will be the only "computer" I will be
bring with me for the week.
When I first got The Missing Sync back in August 2004, I installed
Mark/Space Mail but as I wasn't looking for an e-mail program at the
time, I deleted it shortly thereafter. Now, I am finalizing my
decision on the mail program I will be using and I tried to install the
latest demo of M/S Mail. Now, when I launch M/S Mail, I'm informed
that the demo period has expired.
I sent an e-mail to tech support but the reply which came back was no
help. Basically, the tech told me to delete the Mail application and
reinstall and everything would be OK. It wasn't, of course. I believe
that Mail installs a small invisible file which stores the install date
of the demo and that file cannot be deleted.
I'm sure that the solution isn't something which M/S wants posted
publicly but I hope that someone will contact me privately via e-mail
so that I can resolve this matter before Macworld.
Thank you,
Bruce
