Why did I upgrade to Missing Sync 5.0?

I have never gotten the Address Sync to work in 5.0.1 or 5.0.2 and  
now in 5.0.2 the Events sync is causing problems.

In the Birthdays calendar and in one other calendar it is duplicating  
every event in those calendars every time I sync. The duplicates show  
up in the Palm calendar (the iCal Calendar I designated for  
uncategorized events) , not their original calendars.

If I delete them in iCal. They show up again after the next sync.  
Sometimes duplicated yet again. Argh.

Resetting the conduit results in a 3 hour long sync (from 8:00 to  
11:00 last night).

Why did I upgrade?
