Hi Ross,

Yes, this is happening because there is no custom label on the Palm.  
When the sync occurs (a slow sync, as you're changing desktops), Sync  
Services sees it as a difference/change, and it ends up using the  
label of the device. I was looking at this the other day and haven't  
come up with a good way to get around it.

I'll keep thinking about this one - it is a pain in the neck to deal  
with.
