[missing-sync-palmos-talk] can't sync despite troubleshooting advice in manual [signed]

Did you update to 10.4.3?
I had problems with my USB ports once I updated to 10.4.3, so I had to apply
the combo updater for 10.4.3 and all is working.
Macfixit.com covers all the USB ports problem with details.
