[missing-sync-palmos-talk] FileMaker Mobile no longer syncs

This is more of a FileMaker Mobile question but I don't know where else to
ask it.  Maybe someone here has experience with this.

All conduits work except FileMaker Mobile.  FMM has stopped syncing my 3 FM
databases from iMac G4 to Palm T3.  I get "Failed xxx.fp7 (error:1)"  I
believe this started when I upgraded to Tiger (by erase and install).  This
happens whether the DBs are open or not. And when I tell it to "Download to
handheld only." (Don't FM DBs have to be open in order to sync?)

I have trashed the preferences, repaired permissions, run Disk Warrior,
removed and added the DBs to FM Mobile, uninstalled and reinstalled FM
Mobile twice.  I made a simple test DB.  It worked at first but then caught
the "Failed, error:1" disease too.

Any suggestions?  I understand that there is a Palm Desktop 4.2.1 rev b
(presently not available) for Tiger.  Would that make any difference if I am
using Missing Sync?

I found some references on the Web.  One suggested resetting the user.  If
all my other conduits are working, would this help?  How does one do it?

Tiger 10.4.2, FileMaker Mobile 7.0.1.36, Missing Sync 4.0.6

I would appreciate any clues before I pay FileMaker $45 for tech help.
Maybe I missed some preference?
