[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Bluetooth syncing fails: port in use by another app

I have a Zire 72 Palm OS 5.2.8.; Missing Sync 4.0.6. Conduits:  
BackupBuddy, Documents to Go, Entourage, Install, MarkSpace Conduit,  
NoteStudio, Splash ID, Splash Photo, TimeCopy.

MissingSync Pref is set for USB & Bluetooth

Palm Pref is set for Mac Bluetooth, Connect to PC Via Bluetooth, with  
Device the paired name.

Hotsync on Palm is set for Mac Bluetooth.

Sync fails with message: port in use by another app.

In Mac Prefs, Network Ports, I have ethernet and airport  checked.  
Also present but unclecked are Bluetooth-PDA-Sync and Bluetooth.  
These can't be deleted even when I try.

Any ideas?
