[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Treo 650 and Expansion Card

I have an SD expansion card in my Treo 650. When I click on Missing Sync on
    the Treo, I get a graphic with a Connect-Disconnent button. When I
attempt
to leave that screen, I get a message that says "Disconnecting without
unmounting the memory card in the Finder may corrupt data and make your
Mac
unstable. Are you sure you want to disconnect?"
I've read the Knowledgebase on it (article 000145) but it doesn't help.
The
solution notes than when mounted, the expansion card appears as a
DOS-formatted disk on the Mac desktop. I have never seen it on the
desktop.
    What's the deal?
Also, since I'm not connected to my Mac at the time, I don't know what
this
means. I have no options but to disconnect to get out of that loop, but
I
don't know what effect it has.
And here's another related problem. In iPhoto, I exported a photo to my
card. I then synced successfully. But how to I access information on
the
card? The photo is not in Pics and Videos and I have no idea about how
to
access the card? I've read the Treo manual with no luck at all.
