[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Need Step-by-step instructions for MS/iSync Setup

The ever-changing installation/setup requirements due to various OS X
and MS upgrades have make syncing my Treo 650 with my OS 10.4.2
Powerbook a pointless, counter-productive chore. My latest "sync"
amounts to a launching of Missing Sync via the cradle sync button, an
apparent attempt at sync'ing the Address Book via the iSync conduit,
with absolutely no result. It just keeps trying to synch until it
eventually fails.

Yes, "Enable iSync for this Palm Device" is selected in the iSync
conduit listing in MS. Yes, the correct name name appears for the
account. Yes, I am using MS Version 4.0.6 b3 (67).

I am using the Apple apps (iCal and Address Book). ".mac" sync is
desirable, but of secondary importance.
The enabled conduits within MS are:

Backup
Calendar
Contacts
Install
iSync Conduit
Mark/Space MemoPad
Media
Tasks
TimeCopy

I need to know what procedure to follow to ensure reliable
synchronization each and every time. I'm at the point of junking
Missing Sync, despite the excellent support and and responsiveness.
I'm using it primarily because I need Memo synchronization which
wasn't available when I moved to OS X and iSync.

Thanks,

Rick
