Found it (deleting applications from the Treo). Interestingly, the manual
then says "After deleting the applications, sync to remove the applications
from the Backup folder on your computer." So I did, but they didn't get
removed. (Nor did they reappear on the Treo, thankfully.) So I removed them.
(Which hadn't worked when the apps were still on the Treo.) After a
subsequent sync, ClieDemo.prc and Graffiti.prc were both still gone from
Backup, but Graffiti Shortcuts.prc was back - so it must still be somewhere
on the Treo, but not visible anywhere for deletion. I suppose it can't be
doing too much harm, but if anyone knows how to remove it, please let me
know. I suppose that doing a Hard Reset, removing Graffiti Shortcuts.prc
from Backup folder, and doing a new initial sync would take care of it.
Should I bother?

And does anyone know anything about S01.prc and Saved Preferences.prc? I'll
leave them be for now.
