Since this was off topic and I was not asked I thought I would chime
in... ;)
ChatterEmail is rock solid on the Treo. It can asynchronously send and
receive (screen off and in the background of other apps) allowing you
to stay connected or sync accounts (POP and IMAP) as you like. It's
significantly quicker than Snapper, which has to check each account one
at a time and then go through it's in your face connection scheme.
Chatter resides quietly behind the scenes, unless of course you want it
to be upfront as you check mail.
In addition, it is smart enough to know when the radio is on or off -
or more importantly when the signal is low so you can set it not to
check which kills battery life.
I used Snapper as it was the only game in town until Chatter came out
last September. There is no going back in my book... Snapper has some
finer UI touches which you might prefer and it really handles
attachments more elegantly though Chatter does just fine. Cost is
considerably less... $32 for full IMAP access... no BS Enterprise
edition pricing.
