Not true. Only the most recent Clié models were compatible with
the MemoryStick Pro.

The problem that Sony faces is that CompactFlash has higher
capacities available than MemoryStick Pro, usually at least 2x to 4x
as large, at any one given point in time. MemoryStick Pro and
SecureDigital usually have about the same capacities available at any
point in time, but SecureDigital is almost always at least 2x cheaper
(or more), for a given capacity. Of course, CompactFlash is usually
also at least 2x cheaper than SecureDigital for a given capacity, so
there's a huge, huge price difference there.
And CompactFlash cards are already available up to 8GB, although
that's really expensive. When you start looking at micro hard drives
in CompactFlash-II format, they're much cheaper than CF-I solid-state
cards at the same capacity, which takes the price floor down even
further.
I'm sorry. Sony lost this war a long time ago. They need to
recognize that.
