[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Treo 650 update...data missing

problem: I own a sprint treo 650 and was informed to upgrade the firmware
per sprintpcs.com web site. I use OS X and missing sync.

Before I did the update I synchronized with entourage 2004. When I had
completed the upgrade which causes a hard reset and then resynchronized with
entourage all my contacts and calendar entries were replaced with the
limited contacts from the preset address from the treo and all my entourage
contacts and calendar entries were deleted.

How can I access a backup and restore?

Does missing sync have its own backup?

If I can? I can get to the palm desktop which I do not use and there are old
entries but is there anyway to get at my critical entourage data? Please
help for now and provide information for the future.
