Thanks to Timothy & Jonathan for their reviews of Snapper & Chatter.
What I really need is good attachment support (read bulletproof :-) I work a
lot with Windows colleagues and they send me Office files all the time. So I
need to be able to open attachments without fail.
As for Push email - that is a cool feature - assuming you have IMAP. The
accounts that my TREO will use, however, are POP3. Since Verizon flat rates
you for internet services, I will simply set the TREO to check mail every 5
min. or so - not push, but the best you can do on POP3 (at least this is
what I understand).
One other issue I did not see addressed in Chatter; Can Chatter store email
& Attachments on my 1GB SD Card? That would be a real show stopper (Snapper
stores on the SD Card).
I am going to play with both Chatter and Snapper - my mind is still not made
up . . . Yet :-)
As for the "1 guy DEV" versus "Company" I remember a couple of years ago
when this 1 or 2 guy DEV that started this upstart software called
Mark|Space <HUGE Grin>
Regards to all - ESPECIALLY that 1/2 Guy DEV that rocks out Palm world! :)
