As Scott suggested, try disabling all but the Install conduit and see
if you can sync, then enable one conduit at a time. Once the problem
occurs again, hold down command-shift-option-d while in the Missing
Sync. A dialog will appear where you can check the box to enable
logging. Now try to sync again to duplicate the problem and generate a
log file that you will send to support at markspace.com.
The log file will be in your user's /Library/Logs folder and is named
"MissingSyncLog.txt." You may also want to look in the
/Library/Logs/CrashReporter folder for any Misssing Sync crash logs and
send those to us as well.
FWIW, my main device is a Treo 600 and I'm able to sync fine with
10.3.5, on a PowerBook G4. I wish I had a G5!
