Yes. This problem was addressed in an earlier Beta, so do download the 
4.0.1b5 release. From the release notes posted at 
<http://markspace.com/testing/releasenotes_ms_palm.html>:

	▪ 	  Issue 1941 - Fixed issue where deleting a memo on the desktop 
would not delete it on the handheld.
