In my case, I updated Splash after updating Missing Sync (MS) and got
the same error on sync. However when the name of the picture that was
giving me the error was retitled (it was a long name: 'DSC00864_Begonia
Semperflorens') (both versions were type .jpg), it finally worked out
and no other cases have occurred with later sync's. I ended up with the
exact same name as the originally saved picture (that crashed the
backup), but I tried shortened versions first. It's kind of weird.
Possibly a bug in older version's naming conventions.

However, that was definitely not a sync problem as I had once
thought... New versions of both- SplashPhoto and MS work great
together! I will cross post this to the Missing Sync List. In case
you're interested there is a thread about this on the MS List, 'Splash
& Missing Sync'.

I once had a rose named after me and I was very
flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the
catalogue: "No good in a bed, but fine up against a wall".
