Absolutely, and I've written detailed HOWTOs on how to do
exactly this with PPP, Bluetooth, and IrDA. When my 802.11x card shows
up in a couple of days, I'll be writing that up as well.
I'm just exploring my options at this point. I really dislike
having to decouple my Palm devices from one of my boxes and go into
the server room to physiccally cable them to the OSX machines to sync
to the Apple hardware there. Being able to have the OSX box accept an
incoming network sync would be ideal, as all of my other boxes
(including Windows) have this capability.
I wonder why Palm removed that option from their desktop
components. Water under the bridge at this point, I suppose. The next
step, of course, is to get DAV talking to .Mac from the non-OSX
machines, but that'll be a few weeks off.

Its pretty close. I'd like to poke at MissingSync a bit first,
to see if it suits my goals, but unfortunately there is no demo
available, so that isn't an option right now.
Thanks for the reply.
