[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Cannot see files in directories >3 levels deep, and directories >4 deep

The formalities over first:

MacOS 10.3.6, PowerBook G4 12" (April 2004), Zire 72, 256MB SD card (211MB
free), The Missing Sync 4.0.2 beta 6.

The problem is that I cannot see files more than three directories deep in
the mounted volume after mounting it with the PalmOS Missing Sync
application. For example, files like:

MAIN:VOLUME.NAM and MAIN:DCIM:Album.db and MAIN:Palm:Launcher:LAUNCHER.DAT

are visible, but directories like:

MAIN:Palm:Launcher:Plucker and MAIN:Palm:Launcher:iSilo

have no files visible although there are (many) files stored on the card in
the directories.

In fact, MAIN:Palm:Launcher:Plucker:Fonts is not visible at all although it
is a directory with further files in it.

I also note that, if the contents of the card are copied over en bloc to a
folder on the Powerbook, the unseen files and directories are not copied.
