I didn't see your initial message, but I think I can help from the
info above, since I've had similar problems.
The MemoPad app from MarkSpace uses its own memo database on the Mac;
it does not use the memo database which is used by Palm Desktop. So
all of your memos and categories are intact in the Palm Desktop
database.
Therefore you can restore your handheld from the Palm Desktop version
of your memos DB by setting the memo conduit in Missing Sync to
"Memos" (or "Memo", depending on you handheld), then do a sync with
the memo conduit set to "Macintosh overwrites handheld".
I have also had the MarkSpace MemoPad app/conduit duplicate memo
categories and memos. I have written to MarkSpace Support about this,
but have received no response. The archives of this list indicate that
others have had this problem as well. I'd recommend against using the
MarkSpace MemoPad app until this is resolved.
